Leicester Striker Set To Leave Club

Leicester striker Chris Wood is set to leave the club with Leeds United his likely destination.

Despite scoring 20 goals in 62 appearances for the Foxes, Wood has found his opportunities limited in the Premier League with the arrivals of Croatian Andrej Kramaric and Argentine Leonardo Ulloa last season.

The signing of Japan striker Shinji Okazaki paves the way for the 22-year old to leave the club on a permanent basis after just one start and eight substitute appearances for Nigel Pearson’s men last term.

Wood had a brief loan spell at Championship side Ipswich Town in April but with several Championship clubs interested in the New Zealand international, it is Leeds United who are thought to be in the box seat for his signature.
