Tackling the Menace of Wastes in Ibadan

Ibadan is dubbed the largest city in West Africa and was the capital of the Western Region led by Chief Obafemi Awolowo. Ibadan, the Oyo State capital is known as the Pace Setter state and it is believed that the city deserves the appellation “pace setter”. In setting the pace implies being at the forefront of innovations, advancement, and ideas e.t.c. such that others struggle to catch up with those feats. It is however disheartening that the revered Ibadan appears to have lost the pace setting abilities and it is setting the pace in terms of dirt, underdevelopment and high level of poverty among its indigenes.
